Spinola Bay, restaurants and the Paceville nightlife strip, with many iGaming and tech offices close by. Lively, so choose your street carefully if you like to sleep.
Right next to Sliema along the Manoel Island waterfront, usually a little cheaper for similar space.
Built around the marina, close to the University of Malta and Mater Dei Hospital.
Small, leafy and quiet, with embassies and the yacht marina, minutes from Gżira and Sliema.
The capital: baroque streets, harbour views, restaurants and the ferry to Sliema. Mostly older buildings, and parking is very limited.
Residential streets just above St Julian’s: quieter nights, with the office and nightlife district within walking distance.
Seaside living in Qawra and Buġibba: promenade, bays and good value. Busy with tourists in summer and further from the Sliema business area.

A hilltop village in the north above Għadira Bay, Malta’s biggest sandy beach. Peaceful, with a longer commute.
A fishing-village bay in the south with a seafront promenade and some of the best sea-view value on the island.
